Volunteer of the Month Program to Start August 1, 2016
It’s no secret that volunteers are the heart of Community Harvest. The dedicated individuals who serve with us are vital in our mission to alleviate hunger.
Last year, 8,500 individuals served over 90,000 hours of their time making our family of volunteers the equivalent of over 40 full-time employees. Because of this generosity, Community Harvest is able to keep our operating costs low and we are proud that 97% of our funds go directly to our hunger relief programs.
Community Harvest cannot express how grateful we are for to our volunteers and will begin to formally thank and recognize outstanding members of our volunteer family. Each month, one exceptional individual will be selected as the Volunteer of the Month. This person, nominated by the Community Harvest staff, will be recognized for their efforts to alleviate hunger through service.
Volunteer recognition will include:
- Volunteer photo displayed on our Volunteer Mural
- An interview featured on our website and social media
- Small gift of appreciation
- Use of the Volunteer of the Month parking spot
Be on the lookout August 1st for our first Volunteer of the Month!
