KIDS PROGRAM COORDINATOR- FULL TIME
Reports to: Agency/Government Programs Supervisor
Hours: Monday through Friday: 7:30am – 4pm
Starting Pay: $37,440
Community Harvest Food Bank seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Kids Program Coordinator. This title reflects the role in overseeing both the successful implementation and execution of all kids’ focused programs as written in SOPs and government standards as well as the expansion or improvement of their impact and overall effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work to achieve high efficiency and outcomes within all kids’ programs at the food bank.
- Manages, tracks, and analyzes program outcomes, maintaining an expert level understanding of their programs impacts and opportunities for improvement.
- Uses established program key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide efforts in increasing productivity.
- Follows all established and approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding children’s programs and works through Agency/Government Programs Supervisor, the Program and Process Improvement Manager, or, when necessary, the President & CEO to implement necessary changes in program processes.
- Manages information or updates involving kids programs and communicates necessary information with other team members.
- Calls/holds necessary meetings to discuss agendas directed towards the success of children’s programs and their processes/standards.
- Coordinate messaging points with media, social media, fundraising, and community outreach regarding children’s programs.
- Manage inventory, purchasing and receiving for products used in children’s program implementation
- Oversee Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) standards for use and storage.
- Manage high efficiency standards for non-government inventory, regarding program use, on hand inventory, and purchasing.
- Increase overall impact of all children’s programs.
- Work with Agency/Government Programs Supervisor /P&PIM/President & CEO to identify opportunities for growth or improvement in existing programs.
- Identify and explore options for new areas of services for meeting the needs of children in our community.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings as scheduled
- Assists in other areas of the food bank as assigned
- Maintenance of a neat, clean, and professional appearance always
- Evening and weekend hours as requested
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a self-starter and have creative initiative.
- Ability to work effectively with people of divergent backgrounds and opinions, having excellent public relations and customer service skills.
- High level of personal and professional integrity is essential.
- The ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and have creative initiative.
- A pleasant collaborative personality and an ability to work in an unsupervised environment.
- Excellent telephone communication skills

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Experience with non-profit organizations or food banks is helpful.
- MS Office Suite Proficient
- Willingness to receive all necessary or desired training or certification, including submission to a criminal background check.
- Working knowledge of local social service programs
