Help our Heroes in Need through Hope for Heroes

When Hope for Heroes began in 2016, we knew there was a need to fill among Veteran and military families in need. In the first year of operation, the program provided 100 pounds of food per month (plus additional fruits, vegetables, and bread) for three months to Veterans and military families in need.

That fall, we were honored to be chosen as a participating charity in WOWO’s Penny Pitch for our program rollout, and with the new secured funding from the incredible fundraiser, we were able to extend visits to 100 pounds per month for six months.

Now, we’d like to re-enlist the community’s support and increase visits to nine months for our heroes in need. We want to make sure that COVID-19 or not, our heroes are taken care of and do not ever have to worry about putting a meal on the table.

So far this year, we have served 1,221 households with Veterans, and we want to serve more.
