Volunteer

Thousands of individuals volunteer at Community Harvest Food Bank every year, helping us to collect, sort, and distribute food to people in need. This is a great place for families with children to volunteer and there is always something to do. Help stock shelves and sort food, or if you enjoy a more physical task, come help us at a Farm Wagon Food Distribution! You can also volunteer at special events and help Community Harvest bring awareness to the public.

Whether volunteering as an individual or with a group, we can host and give you a tour of our food bank. We’d love to work with you to schedule a day for your specific volunteer interest.

Volunteering FAQ

Anyone over the age of 5 can volunteer at Community Harvest. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and volunteers must be over the age of 14 to volunteer in the warehouse area. For those under 14 years of age, our Community Cupboard pantry is the perfect volunteer area, where helpers assist in stocking shelves for pantry visitors.
