Donate Food to Community Harvest Food Bank

Donate Food

From canned goods to fresh produce, your donation will make all the difference for a family in need. Community Harvest Food Bank distributes over one million meals each month, and every single one is important to someone struggling with hunger. If you have items in your pantry or extra produce from your garden, we would be happy to accept these gifts and pass them along to help put food on a family’s table.

Food Donation FAQ

Community Harvest accepts a wide variety of food donations. As long as the items are unexpired and unopened, we are happy to accept shelf stable foods like canned goods and boxed meals, fresh produce, and frozen foods. We are unable to accept homemade food, expired products, or opened containers.

If you’re shopping or looking for items that are in high demand, our most needed items include canned protein like chicken or tuna, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soups, boxed dinners like Tuna Helper or Rice-A-Roni, and dry goods like beans, rice, or pasta.

We can accept donations at our 999 East Tillman Road, Fort Wayne location anytime during regular business hours. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Simply visit our Main Entrance and ring the bell for entry. Our receptionist will help with donation acceptance and we can even help you unload!

We would be happy to provide you with a gift-in-kind receipt at the time of your donation if requested.
