Child drawing on paper bags for SeniorPak

Bags for Seniors

One of the activities we’re most proud of from our volunteers is the colored bags completed by our younger age-groups. These cheerfully decorated bags carry the food delivered to medically homebound seniors on our SeniorPak program. We often hear feedback from seniors and children alike who really get enjoyment from the art. It is just another small way we like to show we care.

If your family would like to join the bag-decorating team, it’s easy! Simply pick up brown paper grocery bags or request them from our Community Engagement Coordinator Adam Roby (aroby@communityharvest.org) and color them with friendly messages or pictures to make a senior’s day. Once complete, bring the bags to our main Tillman Road location during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Ring the bell at the main entrance to donate your decorated bags.

Thank you for putting smiles on the faces of homebound seniors!
