February 2017 Volunteer of the Month – Congrats Denise E!
Congratulations to our February 2017 Volunteer of the Month, Denise! Denise is a volunteer driver for our SeniorPak program, and we’re so grateful to have her help!
In Denise’s words:
Why do I volunteer? Because our Lord tells us to love and serve one another. This is one way for me to do what He asks, and there was a need at Community Harvest! My employer, Physicians Health Plan (or PHP), and my boss, Mike Cahill, are great examples of serving the community – with time, talent, and treasure. It’s been a blessing to work for a company that allows me to work the regular 40 hours around my volunteer time each week. I gained a soft spot in my heart for the seniors from the example my maternal grandmother showed me while she was working as an RN in a nursing home. The seniors are so appreciative of what CHFB does for them. Thank you for the honor of being Volunteer of the Month for February!
